da heads bet: The Brazilian showed great character, responding to a quiet first half to swing things in his side's favour
da dobrowin: Gabriel Jesus scored one and set up another as Arsenal eventually broke down a stubborn Nottingham Forest side to claim a 2-1 win at the City Ground and make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League.
After offering very little in the final third in the first, Mikel Arteta's side began to find some space after the interval and Jesus – who many believe Arsenal need to upgrade on to truly challenge Manchester City – proved to be the difference.
After wasting one glorious chance when he struck the post from point-blank range, the Brazilian somehow found a way to squeeze his shot through the legs of Forest keeper Matt Turner to break the deadlock. Jesus turned provider soon after, playing a perfect ball into the path of Bukayo Saka who finished superbly with his right foot to double the visitors' lead.
Taiwo Awoniyi set up a grandstand finish when he outmuscled William Saliba and pulled a goal back on 89 minutes, but the away side held on to claim a crucial win ahead of Sunday's top of the table clash with Liverpool.
GOAL rates Arsenal's players from the City Ground…

David Raya (7/10):
A total passenger for most of the game. Did what he had to do well and swept up when needed.
Ben White (6/10):
Got down the right of Saka a few times and looked threatening when he did. Could maybe have done it more.
William Saliba (6/10):
Barely broke sweat in the first half. Awoniyi gave him a tougher test after the interval and he will be disappointed with his part in the goal.
Gabriel Magalhaes (7/10):
Just like his partner at the back, he was barely troubled for most of the game.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (7/10):
Guilty of taking some extra touches when he could have moved the ball quicker. He wasn't alone in that, however.

Declan Rice (7/10):
Dominated the midfield and kept the ball moving. Could have maybe looked to get into the penalty area more to be the extra man.
Martin Odegaard (7/10):
Saw a couple of shots blocked. Always involved around the box, but like most of his team-mates, was guilty at times of taking too many touches.
Emile Smith Rowe (7/10):
Good to see him get a league start. Looked to get on the ball and caused some problems when he ran in behind.

Bukayo Saka (7/10):
Had the better of his full-back all evening. Went close twice before finally picking out the corner to make it 2-0.
Gabriel Jesus (8/10):
Missed a golden chance to break the deadlock when he hit the post, but kept his head up and scored the opener soon after. Then picked up the assist for Saka to round off a good second half.
Gabriel Martinelli (6/10):
Looked bright when he found some space, but that space was in short supply for large parts of the night.

Kai Havertz (6/10):
Came on and played a part in the second goal.
Leandro Trossard (7/10):
Really bright cameo. So close to scoring a stunner. Smart play at the end to keep the ball in stoppage time.
Eddie Nketiah (5/10):
Worked hard late on.
Jorginho (N/A):
On for the final few minutes.
Jakub Kiwior (N/A):
Came on with Jorginho
Mikel Arteta (7/10):
A good night for the Arsenal boss, although he will be disappointed with the late goal. Good to see him give Smith Rowe a start.
